This coin commemorates the pending transtion of authority from the Provistional Authority to the new Iraqi Government.   With that transfer of power the US will establish its politcal seat through a new US Embassy still being assembled. 

The design has the CPA logo on one side and the US Embassy verion of the State Department logo on the other ... with the wording "US Embassy Baghdad Iraq"

This coin commemorates not only the transfer of power to the new free Iraqi government, but also the passing of the CPA and the establishment of the US embassy in Baghdad.
